What the times tell you
This is a close one. BMW and Aston Martin are inside five hundredths of each other, which over a race distance is nothing at all. The driver matters more than the car here, so take whichever you are quickest and most comfortable in.
Worth noting: the Cadillac V-Series.R GTP is 5th on outright pace but 3rd on optimal lap. Its best sectors are quicker than its best lap suggests — there is time in it for a driver who can put a clean lap together.

How we work these out
These are not simulated or estimated figures. Every lap time here was set by an Apex Racing Academy coach on the Apex setup for that car, in the same session conditions, and published as a VRS data pack. The fastest lap is the quickest complete lap driven. The optimal lap is that driver’s best sectors added together — what the car had in it on the day.
We publish this every week of the iRacing IMSA season, for every car in the class.
